A huge thank you to everybody who stopped by smock smock's table at Urban Craft! Everyone had such lovely things to say about the items on display, and it was very encouraging to see that even today there is still a definte interest in smocking. I was surprised to see how many people were familiar with the technique already, and it seemed to bring back some fond memories for quite a few! "Oh, my grandma used to do that!" is a phrase that I heard several times throughout the day.
I'd also like to publicly (or at least digitally) thank the organizers of the show. The turn out to the event was AMAZING and totally beyond what I was expecting, which I think is mostly due to the fact that Urban Craft was so well promoted. The whole day went down without any problems at all (at least on my end, ha ha), and as my first show, I can say that the experience has definetly left me wanting to do more!
